The Skyros Journey 2023 has started. A group of 18 people took on the long journey by train, plane, bus and ferry. After a somewhat shaky flight and windy sea crossing, the Greek OC of Swiss for Greece welcomed us to the island. This weekend, the mayoral elections are taking place on the island of Skyros. We don’t remember ever having seen so many people here. We are curious to see how voting works here. Actually, our regular restaurant would have been closed for our first dinner with the mayor because of the elections. The mayor could not be there, but the restaurant opened its doors for us anyway. A happy reunion with some familiar faces.
